Lippert Tongue Jack Rotation (Lippert Power Tongue Jack)
In this video, we are doing a Lippert Tounge Jack rotation. The lippert power tongue jack is great for lifting and leveling our Grand Design travel trailer. But we were looking for more clearance between the tailgate and the jack.
This detailed video shows you how to rotate your travel trailer's lippert components power tongue jack. Rotating your tongue jack is quite simple but adds a good amount of space in between your truck and trailer allowing you to fully drop your tailgate while towing. We also add some solar lights to the exterior of our RV. These solar lights are motion sensing which will allow us to have easy vision at night. It will also help keep criminals from entering our camp...

Black Series Campers (Picking Up Our Overland Travel Trailer)
Great video. It worked on my 2010 RAM diesel Laramie dually 3500. Thank you for including tools needed.
Glad you found it helpful!
I really hope this reduces the traffic.
Maybe hahah
With June and July over 1.500,000 people that's a big no no 25,000 a day Yellow stone carpark
Thanks for the video on the differential fluid change. Like the C2 in the background.
Welcome thanks for watching, we linked all the parts in the description. The Corvette has been in our family for a long time!
Wow, let me paint you a picture, my family full timed for 12 yrs, and had one motorhome and pulling car, you have some kind of entitlement issue or something, you're why all of us forever timers got out fast, and why parks are on a 10 yr rule, because they can con people like you to keep spending money, money and more money. WOW i wish i could block you from ever showing up on any you tube on any device, millennials with no concept of real life. FULL TIMING is a lifestyle not get as man toys into what you're pulling to destroy as much earth as you can. Horrible.
Thanks for a great video
So glad you found it helpful, we linked all the supplies needed in the description as well.
7:12 are you going to talk about harvest hosts or are you just wasting everybody's time
We do talk about the program and show one of the places. Thanks for watching sorry it wasn't to your liking
Years of Pismo tells me if you do not air down to 8lbs in every tire just don’t bother. If airing up your tires, blocking a trail and getting un stuck is less work than airing up your tires then (lol) good luck bud.
Truck was aired down, thought the trailer would be ok considering it was less that 1 mile. The sand is much different than Pismo, and this road is no sand hwy lol
Who's going to get you out of trouble if you get stuck in a place like that ?
I would, we know our abilities.
I would be awfully nervous using any filter purchased off of Amazon saving a few dollars on an $80,000 truck. If you are serious about adding miles to your vehicle, a fuel/water separator kit should be purchased... FASS, Air-Dog, Glacier Diesel, Cat-Duo to list a few are going to a lot better job. There's a lot of gimmick "OEM" Mopar parts so you have to be really careful...
thanks for the advice. You might be correct, We have had zero issues with the filters off Amazon they are from Mopar and the truck has 136k on it. We do all of this maintenance ourselves and we believe that factory is best
@@AdventureEndeavor you got me all wrong brother. I am not saying that factory is not good to go. I am just saying purchasing off of amazon in general. Amazona has trouble with some 'copycat' versions of products. I know there are some fake Mopar parts. I cannot say that there are fake Mopar filters, but I would not be surprised to find out China is. One should be much safer purchasing from an actual dealership or retailer like directly from Mopar etc. By the way, you aint Mopar, you aint shit! ;)
Rented one. Terrible idea. Nothing but issues!!
That's a bummer, we had the exact opposite experience. Maybe it wasn't taken care of?
Things to do in Bend....go somewhere else that's Cool!!!
Great idea, any recommendations?
Did you replace the plastic spring bushings with brass ones ?
Yes as far as i can remeber.
I had a smallish 5th wheel 30 ft…it alleviated most of your problems. That being said we have a 26ft Minilite travel trailer and we love it. Weight distribution hitch makes me feel so confident towing, it’s like the trailer is locked down on the ball and it stops sway. (Definitely get that hitch). Good luck it’s nice to see someone who doesn’t have a 40 ft 5th wheel on utube.
Haha thanks for the great comment. Still working well for us
Did you use a mopar wrench also? Cmon man. You didn’t use mopar brakleen bubs
We just use what the manufacturer calls for....🤷♂️
Name 5 things you hate about this couple😂
Thanks for watching! Please look up scarcasm....😂
I wouldn’t subscribe to your channel if you paid me. How incredibly negative and pompous. What did you expect in the summer? A park to yourselves? Stay home. I LOVE Yellowstone.
Thanks for the comment, this video was scarcasm. Have a great day!
Great info good video you the man!!!!
So glad you found it helpful! We linked the filters in the description below, if you buy though our link it costs the same but helps us out as well. Have a great day!
Very helpful, you did a good job explaining how it works and how you changed it
Glad you found it helpful! We linked all the products needed in the description
My eye was on the vette
It's nice!
I love these campers. The engineering is over looked in these.
You should've pointed the camera down into the canyon 😢........ I've used that road 🎉😊
Such a fun little road to explore.
I used it to commute 3 times a week💃💗
Just went there - man, what a great view from the top!
It's incredible! Thanks for watching we appreciate it!
Great video, about to get a class A and start. The big thing with lots of video is hard drive storage do you use internal extra or a USB plug in?
We just use the USB plug in hard drives. We are not crazy with the older files that we store though, plan on RVing and making videos for a long time. Best of luck on your journey!
@@AdventureEndeavor A pro tip for storage is a youtube account that is separate that you can upload to and keep them private, but available in case of a crash.
If that’s all the cons you have about. I’m picking one of these up this week
Good hitch overall, you'll most likely love it. We linked it in the description as well.
you do not lose your truck bed with a fifth wheel. you would be amazed how much i can put in there while towing. in 20 years my 5er has never touched my truck bed. tip over? fix your contact area on your hitch, supseion on the trailer. as to over head my 5er is 12f 6 in high. never hut anything. but then i have been a class A driver for 40 years , so i kinda know what and how to drive. a fith wheel does not need a “fix” for safe towing. and in a panic stop the tt will try to pass you up or push you to the side of the rd. do to lifting up your rear end. a 5er adds weight to your trucks braking ability. snd does not need a “ fiz” to tow safely. but good on you for starting with a 3/4 ton. as 1.2 ton trucks are not ment for towing, or loading up.
To each is own, good insight, thanks for watching.
You two need to stay out of National Parks if you cannot understand the beauty of nature without internet service. Why would you care more about Instagram than the beauty of the outdoors? Who wants to sit around a fire with their kids on their tablets or with adults watching RUclips and Instagram videos. It's about family and connection. You guys need to add some positivity to your life.
Haha thanks for the comment, I think you should have watched the whole video and then responded. Also look up scarcasm....
It's called an equalizer...😄 It doesn't really do much to absorb shock and smooth out the rough roads... that is not their purpose. If you've ever seen video of these in action, you can see that they just simply rock back and forth to "equalize" (hence, the name) the movement of each set of leaf springs. Very minimal, but still noticeable improvement, depending on what your baseline was. The rubber bushings are just a slight upgrade, but the heavy duty shackles and wet bolts are always a good idea.
We'll talk to Lippert and their description haha
We purchased a 35 ft 5th wheel as our first..WHAT A EFFIN mistake!!! Cant wait to sell it and go with a TT..Great vid
Thanks for watching!
My impression of Bend is there are too many corporate chain stores along hwy 97. That really surprised me. It was also bigger than I thought and the traffic can be intense.
Traffic definitely isn't great
Sorry Jess just getting to watching this video. One comment I use same lights but I have switch to a outdoor magnetic self sicking. Found the 3m dosnt work well outside unless you use bathroom straps but those are much harder to find. Less then a year the command strips would just fail ti stick to the campers out side. I really want to find a suction cup system but yet found anything
Ah good to know! Just the heat gets to them?
It might be combination of heat and uv. So mine the 3m backing stayed on but the velcro separated from the back. So the velcro is glued to the 3m part you attach the wall.
PRO TIP: If you're intending to camp at TC State Park for it's "central" location, go a half-hour southwest on M-137 to Interlochen State Park instead. Cheaper, quieter, and less crowded (usually).
Thanks for the tip!
OK, so if you can’t relive the experience on social media and have people admire you it’s not worth doing it. I think I’m gonna watch a different RUclips channel. Thanks.
Hahaha LOL I'm guessing you did not watch the whole video. And you obviously do not understand sarcasm, hope you have a great day and I also hope you visit this amazing Park!
Took me about 15 minutes. And I'm no mechanic. Takes ZERO mechanical know-how. After removing the horse-collar looking cover, put the oil cap back on to keep junk out.
Super simple, thanks for watching
What year was your black series made in? I’m curious on that. Good video btw cool way to live.
I believe it was built 2023 but called a 2024
Its hardly ever like that. Ever. I lived in the park on a few occasions. No sir
When did you live there? It's actually been extremely busy ever since COVID.
You both have personal issues... you need help...lol
Haha nice comment, apparently you didn't watch the whole video and do not understand scarcasm lol have a great day.
Pan is supposed to have a gasket not from factory but aftermarket kits have them which is why dodge is a bunch of idiots that rtv silicone dosnt stick to the transmission side sticks to the pan not the trans🙃
We haven't had any issues. When you go to the dealer and ask they say RTV,🤷♂️
Great video, thank you. I've done plenty of transmission services on other vehicles but never on my 2012 RAM. This was exactly what I needed.
Perfect! Glad you found it helpful, we linked the supplies in the description as well 👍
Coming from someone that is born and raised in Oregon and still lives in Oregon and goes to the Oregon dunes to sand camp on the regular truck should be 10PSI trailer should be at 12 PSI essentially if you don’t air down your trailer, you are pulling a boat anchor.
Yeah totally agree haha truck was definitely that low. Thought the trailer would be ok considering it was less than 1 mile in lol
Great video. Pro tip, just buy a reusable gasket and ditch the RTV.
Cool thanks for the tip, I typically just do what the manufacturer recommends. I'll look into it though.
I love watching travel days. 🙂 My wife and I have an all electric Class A diesel pusher. To keep the three rooftop AC units and the residential refrigerator running we have to run the onboard generator. But, it kept us cool in Key West Florida in July.
Awesome sounds like a coool rig, literally...
Super nice family, car, video and trail! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! We appreciate the kind words!
No drain plug is so stupid
I know right!
What’s the name of the place ? Were you guys camping? Can you please share?
We say it in the video multiple times. It's called silt coos, south of Florence
I see a drain plug on there how come u didn’t use drain plug??
No drain plug in mine, it's a 2016. Maybe you saw the motor oil drain plug.
My favorite spot in WA is Colchuck. Been there 12 times and each time has been a different experience. So beautiful. IMO you missed out going to the super touristy restaurants. Icicle brewery is my #1 spot for a good beer and pretzel. Not German themed but it’s named after the River at the Colchuck trailhead and the beers are named after places in the enchantments or outdoor activities. For food we usually hit the hotdog place in the middle of town which is a little bit touristy but honestly has great food for not too expensive. Lastly the bourbon maple latte at J5 is a must! In my latest full length adventure video we stay at Colchuck for 3 days and hit all the food and beer spots in the vid. The trip was a blast! I am currently editing a trip from the following summer where we went up the back side and stayed at upper snow lake… it was pretty memorable too! Good on your guys for getting out there with the kiddo! Cheers! 🤙🏽
Thanks for the tips, it's tough when you only have a few days in the area. Thanks for watching.
@@AdventureEndeavor always an opportunity to come back and do it again! I have every year since the first time I did it!!! Cheers friends! 🤙🏽
